Looking Forward to 2012!
It's been a tough 2011, the unemployment rate hovering at the New Math 9.8% mark. The New Math 9.8% is where every point represents 3 points in the real job market, the one so many people can't find a job in.
A 9.8% unemployment rate in New Math represents 29.4% actual people, which is what the actual unemployment rate must be when you add in all those people that stopped looking for work because they've been out of it so long, which the government bean counters don't actually count in the category 'unemployed', for some reason.
You may not be able to prevent being fired at Christmas, but you can prevent going up in flames. And in case you think that's not very likely, think again -- each year, more than ~2600 people are injured in holiday fires, which do more than $930 million in damage.
The US Fire Administration has issued fire prevention tips to keep you and yours safe when no creature is stirring - check them out on the Medical Travel Minute with Health Travel Guides:

Don't Be a Christmas Casualty!
Think Christmas trees aren't dangerous? Think again! These trees are so dangerous, men in puffy vests are tying bricks to their trunks and throwing them to the bottom of a lake!

And if during this holiday season you or your Aunt Beverly or your brother Jason or his sister-in-law Linda or your grandmother's neighbor Doreen resolves that 2012 is the year to get control of a (well, not so) little weight problem before the related cholesterol and diabetes problems start causing real problems - as in serious, vision loss and toe amputation problems common in diabetes - check out our SlideShare on the new minimally invasive Green Zone weight loss procedures.
