Driving Mexico – Ajijic – Chapala to Laredo and ReturnPosted by: Don & Linda Wright in MyBlog on Jan 18, 2012 Tagged in: Untagged

We always enjoy driving and exploring various parts of Mexico. Even though we have made the above trip many times, we never tire of the scenery. Some friends do the whole trip in a day but we don’t like or recommend driving the dark for a variety of reasons, so typically make one overnight stop and take about 1 ¼ to 1 ½ days. Monterrey, Saltillo, San Luis Potosi or Matehuala are good stopping points- the first 3, interesting cities to visit.
For those who have not made the drive, they may have any number of misconceptions of a “backwards, 3rd world, dirt road etc. drive” We hope the photos will give you a glimpse of the real Mexico.
