Many Americans and Canadians who have chosen a Mexico retirement have also chosen to buy Puerto Vallarta real estate as their home in Paradise.  The following are a few of the reasons for this choice.

Beaches – After years of putting up with snow and cold, retirees are ready for a nice change; few people will complain about Puerto Vallarta’s beautiful beaches, enjoyed as regular part of everyday life.

Warm Weather – The average year-round temperature in Puerto Vallarta is just over 70 degrees; most days as are warm and sunny.  A day without sunshine is a rare occurrence.

Amazing Views – Bright sunsets over the Pacific Ocean are just part of the beauty of the views that Puerto Vallarta offers.  The Bay, the surrounding mountains and the old town all add to the romance of owning a condo or home on the hillside where views are breathtaking, all day, all year.

Mexico’s Old Charm – Puerto Vallarta’s old town is an original fishing village, with cobblestone roads, lined with little white homes that have red clay roofs, where local farmers still bring their goods in on mules.  Local markets sell fruit, vegetables and freshly caught sea food.

Modern Services – Without having lost its traditional charm, Puerto Vallarta has grown into a large, modern tourist center with services like state-of-the-art hospitals, international golf courses, stores like Walmart, European cafes, excellent restaurants and much more.

Close Access Home – One of the most important modern services is the international airport which is well connected with regular direct flights to all major destinations throughout North America, and many connecting flight options.

Of course, we can’t forget to point out that one of the most important points is that the average retiree can afford it!

Boomers Living Abroad

The number of Americans and Canadians living abroad, by today's count approximately 7 million (according to The Washington Post), is twice the population of Chicago and greater than that of 33 U.S. States. A number that has grown steadily over the past decade, and it is expected to more than double within ten years. In the next 20 years, 100 million baby boomers, from the USA and Canada, are going to retire. Five million baby boomers turn age 60 each year, Ten Thousand per day, Eight per minute, and scores of them are purchasing property abroad as vacation homes or investment homes.
