Camaguey is a city and municipality in central Cuba and is the nation’s third largest city. This city had the name of Santa Maria del Puerto Del Principe and later changed to Camaguey. It was founded originally on 1515 and later was moved inland in 1528. This city had continuous attacks from pirates so the new city was built with a confusing lay out and it has only one exit to the city.

The symbol of Camaguey is a clay pot. The clay pot is used to capture rain water used to keep the house fresh.

Camaguey is not absent of nature beauty.
