PUNTACANA International Airport
Built over a terrain extension of 2,000,000.00 M2, whose operations began in 1984 with a landing runway of 5,000 feet and a small terminal that hosted a departure area, arrival area and customs checkpoint in a 300 M2 building, with capacity for 150 passengers every hour and a half. During its first year, the airport received 2,976 passengers.After 9 expansions, the airport currently features a runway of 10,171.28 feet, two terminal buildings of 25,000.00 M2, with capacity to host up to 2,000 passengers every hour and a half.
