Boomers Abroad Niche Portal, Online Community and Social Network, will be present at the Boomer Consumer Show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, On May 27 and 28, 2009.

The Boomer Consumer Show will premiere in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on May 27 and 28, 2009. For two days, the Winnipeg Convention Centre will transform into a one-stop informative venue for everything that is relevant to the most significant and wealthy target demographic group in Canada – the baby boomers.

The Boomer Consumer Show will present an incredible array of merchandise, displays, entertainment and constructive seminars. It is expected that more than 15,000 will experience the show.

Winnipeg is the leadoff stop in what will become an annual countrywide Canadian tradition. With an expected 150+ sponsors and exhibitors hand-picked to match boomer needs, the show will be produced to the highest quality and value for the boomer consumer. Those attending the show will be able to touch, feel and generally interact with an incredibly broad range of categories important to them.

Boomer Consumer Show sponsors and exhibitors will be supported by major advertising and promotional efforts including: a monthly newsletter, media partnerships, numerous prize and ticket giveaways, a comprehensive website linked to sponsors and a catalogue with a distribution of 20,000 copies during and after the event.

BoomersAbroad.com was born in direct response to hundreds of conversations with baby boomers from the USA and Canada who were seeking a new life, and to better understand how they might live abroad, travel abroad, relocate abroad, retire abroad and/or invest abroad. The number of Americans and Canadians living abroad, by today's count approximately 7 million (according to The Washington Post), is twice the population of Chicago and greater than that of 33 U.S. States. A number that has grown steadily over the past decade, and it is expected to more than double within ten years. In the next 20 years, 100 million baby boomers, from the USA and Canada, are going to retire. Five million baby boomers turn age 60 each year, Ten Thousand per day, Eight per minute, and scores of them are purchasing property abroad as vacation homes or investment homes. Naturally, many of them are auditioning these homes for potential primary retirement residences.
