Last Sunday was Father's day and we of course wished all Dads a very Happy Father's day. We hope you had a very good time with your family and friends. If you are a Dad we found a great video for You. It is very recommended for all Parents.
At Boomers Abroad this month we have the Soccer fever this month. South Africa has been a very good host of the 2010 FIFA world Cup and all the world has been watching and enjoying. Thank You South Africa. The participation and level of the Countries from the Americas have been the best. so far. Congratulations to Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and the USA. We miss many other good teams like Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica & Peru. Something that is amazing is the way things have changed. Not many years ago the crowds were behind the radio listening and using the imagination trying to figure out what was going on in a world cup match. Today South Africa is the High Definition world cup, the social media world cup.
For example today we can watch again Shakira - Waka Waka (This is Time for Africa) as many times as we want from anywhere in the world. All we need is an internet connection or a smart phone. With out a question Social Media has changed the way people interact. Many of us that are living abroad use social media to send pictures, to upload videos, to down load music and to keep in touch with our families and friends.
It is because of technology and social media that we can watch live matches over the internet and share our opinion with others in real time. Interactivity makes things faster and we can read what many fans are saying right now about a match, about a team or about a player.

My wife and I have found our perfect place: Patzcuaro, Michoacan, Mexico! The climate is warm during the day and cool at night. And with the fresh vegetables and tropical fruit in the market each day, life is as I had always dreamed it could be. MEXICO UPDATE 2010 “Are We There Yet, Daddy?”

Here we are, a decade into the new millennium, 10 years hence. Wow, was the Mexico real estate market a happening place during the 2000s. Right up until 2008 lots of sales were made, lots of commissions paid and developers had new plans for even greater projects to be developed. Problem was, no one really knew that U.S. financial markets would collapse, leaving many Americans, financial institutions, banks, our neighbors to the south, even our own government pondering, “What do we do now?”
